On the street, young Paul McCartney, wearing a camel-colored overcoat, invites me to his apartment where I spend an hour alone in a spacious, well-lit room containing a piano and several electronic organs. His wife looks in on me, briefly; she is pretty and pleasant, young, dark-haired. Ringo Starr arrives, smiling with an air of friendly masculinity and teaches me a secret handshake.
