It's the holiday season, and I am at my mother's house. I have just returned from a trip to the mall, and I am very hungry, but can find nothing in the house to eat except heaps of junk food. On the counter are huge bowls filled with a variety of potato chips, candy, and half-eaten cakes. In the fridge I find only a bowl filled with maki, that I know has been in there for some time. I wish that I could make a sandwich.
